Job Description

Receive service / repair orders from owner and arrange to have the vehicle driven to the assigned service bay.
Road test the vehicle as necessary for diagnostic purposes.
Diagnose cause of malfunction or operational issue.
Perform work as outlined in the service / repair order or as determined by the diagnostic evaluation.
Communicate with owner to obtain needed parts. Retain replaced parts for customer verification or warranty purposes.
Inform owner if additional repair work is recommended, if work outlined in the service / repair is not actually needed or if other complications are identified.
Document work performed including time spent completing the work order.
Road test vehicle to ensure a quality service / repair is complete and that identified malfunctions have been corrected.
Ensure that the vehicle returned to the customer is in clean condition
Maintain records, document actions and present reports as required by owner.
Wear and use approved safety equipment required by the specific task.
Complete other duties as assigned by owner.

Required languages: English

Education level: High school or/and vocational trade

Required skills: Diagnostic Skills - Ability to troubleshoot and identify vehicle problems using diagnostic equipment Technical Knowledge - Understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, electrical, transmission) Tool Proficiency - Experience with specialized automotive tools and equipment Problem-Solving - Strong analytical skills to determine root causes and solutions Communication - Ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and team members Physical Abilities - Manual dexterity, stamina, and ability to work in various positions Certifications - ASE certifications and/or automotive technology training preferred Attention to Detail - Precision in repairs and thorough documentation of work performed
