Job Description

Overview:
We are looking to hire an Accountant bookkeeper for our company to carry out the accounting duties.

Duties:
– Compute and prepare checks for utility bills, tax payments, payroll, and other obligations.
– Complete and submit tax remittance, workers’ compensation, pension contribution, and other official paperwork as required.
– Compile tax returns and provide additional in-person bookkeeping services as needed.
– Maintain accurate financial records using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to manage and balance various accounts.
– Create trial balances for books, maintain general ledgers, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and generate financial statements.
– Compile additional financial, accounting, and statistical reports to support business operations and decision-making.

Requirements:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
– Completion of secondary school is required.
– Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field
– Proficiency in Xero Software

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 40 hours a week
