Responsibilities
Tasks
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
Measure, cut, fit,t and install drywall sheets
Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound
Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
