Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our agricultural enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing crop production, maintaining farm equipment, and ensuring the farm’s overall health and productivity. This role requires strong leadership, technical skills, and a thorough understanding of modern farming practices to optimize efficiency and sustainability.
Responsibilities
• As a Farm Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Overseeing daily farming operations, including crop production and harvesting activities
• Operating and managing farm equipment, including swathers, combines, tractors, and related machinery
• Planning, organizing, and supervising seasonal work and harvest schedules
• Monitoring crop conditions and ensuring proper maintenance of fields and equipment
• Managing inventory of supplies, fuel, and equipment maintenance schedules
• Ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards and agricultural best practices
• Coordinating with ownership on operational planning and productivity goals
• Training and supervising workers as required
• Repair and service all farm equipment and grain trucks
• Fabricate and repair farm machinery
• Install and Program GPS Guidance systems
• Install and Program robotic herbicide spraying systems
Experience
• Proven experience in farm management or agricultural operations
• Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture techniques, and crop management
• Hands-on experience with maintenance of heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery effectively
• Basic math skills for record keeping, measurements, and calculations related to farming tasks
