Royalridge Homes Ltd located at Kelowna, BC is hiring a Framer – Carpenter for a full-time and permanent position.

Salary: $27.00 – $30.00 / Hour for 30 to 40 Hours / Week

Job Requirements:

Languages: English
Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience as Framer – Carpenter is required

Tasks
• Perform residential wood-frame construction, including the layout, construction, and installation of floor, wall, and roof framing systems.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and measurements to determine materials, dimensions, and construction requirements.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble lumber, engineered wood products, and other construction materials in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Lay out and construct floor systems, exterior and interior walls, roof structures, and other wood-framing components.
• Install structural sheathing, blocking, bracing, headers, beams, joists, studs, rafters, and other framing materials.
• Set, position, align, level, plumb, and securely fasten structural components to ensure compliance with construction plans and required specifications.
• Independently operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other equipment used in residential carpentry and wood-frame construction.
• Determine appropriate measurements, cuts, layouts, and assembly methods while carrying out assigned framing and carpentry work.
• Inspect completed work and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, stability, and quality.
• Work independently on assigned carpentry and framing tasks and coordinate with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to project requirements.
• Load, unload, organize, and maintain lumber, building materials, tools, and equipment required for ongoing construction activities.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and comply with company safety policies, site-specific procedures, and applicable WorkSafeBC requirements.
