Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bakery Manager to direct, plan and oversee daily operations at our on-site location in Vancouver. The successful candidate will manage staff, support sales and marketing initiatives, monitor budgets, resolve operational issues and contribute to the development and promotion of new food products

Location: Mackenzie Street, Vancouver, BC V6N 1G8
Workplace: On site
Salary: $37.00 hourly / 30 hours per week
Employment type: Term or contract, full time
Schedule: Early morning, morning, day and weekend shifts
Start date: As early as August 3, 2026
End date: August 3, 2029

·        Bachelor’s degree in Culinary arts/chef training with secondary diploma or certificate in Business administration and management considered an asset

Experience
3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience is required.

Work Location
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
·        Direct, control, evaluate, plan and organize daily operations.

·        Manage staff, assign duties and supervise office and volunteer staff.

·        Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers.

·        Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and the impact of competitors’ operations on sales.

·        Determine merchandise and services to be sold.

·        Implement pricing and credit policies.

·        Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale.

·        Develop and implement marketing strategies.

·        Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.

·        Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.

·        Develop and promote new food products.
