We are a busy commercial truck repair facility and an authorized ICBC glass shop operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are currently seeking experienced Automotive Glass Technicians to support our weekend and rotating shift coverage. The successful candidates will be required to work a combination of day, evening, and weekend shifts, including a minimum of two weekend days per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
– Assess the condition of windshields, side windows, mirrors, and other glass components and determine whether repair or replacement is needed;
– Remove damaged glass components from automobiles, commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles using proper tools and techniques;
– Install new windshields, side and rear windows, mirrors, and other glass components according to manufacturer specifications and ICBC requirements;
– Repair minor chips and cracks to restore visibility and prevent further damage;
– Apply primers, adhesives, sealants, and weather barriers to ensure secure and watertight installation of glass;
– Reassemble trim, moldings, weather stripping, and interior panels after glass repair or replacement;
– Calibrate ADAS sensors and cameras after windshield replacement when required;
– Provide both shop-based and mobile glass repair and replacement services at customer locations across the Lower Mainland;
– Inspect completed work for proper fit, seal integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance;
– Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, clean, and organized condition;
– Document all work performed, materials used, and communicate service details, warranties, and recommendations to customers;
– Collaborate with mechanics and other shop staff to coordinate glass repairs with broader vehicle maintenance when required;
– Perform other related duties as needed to support shop operations.

Wage/Salary: $36.75/hour
Benefits: Full Extended Medical and Health Benefits after 90 days employment, including Life Insurance, Dental, AD&D Insurance, $0.25/hour tool allowance; $100/year Boot Allowance; Paid Overtime Available

Skills Requirements
Education: No Minimum Education Requirement
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in automotive glass installation and repair
Skills/Licensing:
– Must be able to type and operate on a computer for service documentation
– Demonstrable knowledge of commercial and heavy vehicle glass installation, including ADAS calibration, and truck cab sealing
– Demonstrable proficiency with specialized tools used in commercial auto glass removal and installation, including cold knives, wire or fiber line systems, power caulking guns, vacuum lifters, glass setting tools, and trim molding removal tools.
– Must be able to lift up to 45kg (100lbs)
– Must have a Class 5 Driver’s license (for operation of mobile service truck)
