A Permanent Full-Time position for a Personal Support Worker – Home Support is in need in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Duties include:
• Provide care and companionship for individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption
• Assist in regular exercise e.g. walking
• Plan and prepare meals and special diets and may assist in feeding if necessary
• May perform routine health-related duties such as administration of medication, arranging and accompanying clients to medical appointments
• May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.

Work Condition and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks and attention to detail.

Physical Demands: Making repetitive motions, Walking and running, Bending and standing long periods.

Wages and Benefits: Wages of $20.15 per hour, for 35-40 hours per week.

Work Experience: Experience is an Asset. Home management experience may be required. Must have a strong command in English language both written and oral communication.

Education: Some Secondary School Education is usually required. College or other courses in home support may be required. Completion of a training program in convalescent care may be required. First Aid Certification is required.
