Job Requirements:

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Telecommunications Technician is required

Job Details:

Salary: $ 37.00 hourly for 30-40 hours per week
Vacancies: 20
Location: Various locations on Vancouver Island

Skills:

• Install and test equipment such as internet modem, home phone and high definition.
• Diagnose and solve all technical issues related to cable, high speed internet and home phone.
• Install, arrange, remove and maintain equipment, wiring and associated hardware.
• Test installed systems to locate transmission faults.
• Repair or replace defective and damaged wire and associated equipment.
• Complete test reports and maintain test and service records.
• Configure operating systems and install software for access to the internet.
• Diagnose and locate equipment faults and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment.
