JOB DETAILS
Workplace information:
• Field work will be within Lethbridge – Medicine Hat region.
• On the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Employment conditions: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available

Start: As soon as possible

Vacancies: 5 vacancies

Benefits: Other benefits – $100.00/month health spending account will be given after 6 months.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: Experience an asset

Work site environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Noisy, Dusty, Hot

Work setting:
• Landscape contractor
• Various locations
• Landscape maintenance

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Assist with landscape constructions.
• Tie and secure plants.
• Weed, prune and trim trees and plants.
• Cut grass, rake and collect refuse.
• Remove litter and garbage.
• Cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• Lay sod or seed.
• Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees.
• Apply fertilizers.
• Repair and maintain equipment.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
• Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
• Put up warning signs when needed.
• Maintain and care for company provided equipment, tools, and vehicles
• Attend training as requested by management.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks.

Other Specific Tasks:
• Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties.
• Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawn mower
• Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds and walls.
• Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs and bushes.
• Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
• Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
• Rake, mulch and prune the grounds as needed.
• Clean up worksites from debris and machinery
• Use power tools and machinery when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts to remove snow.
