Description:- At Millennium Aviation Ltd, we are looking for a fulltime permanent Flight Instructor. Must be able to work morning, weekdays shifts. May need to work independently.
Job Duties:
• Conducting flight instruction for student pilots, including presenting Preparatory Ground Instruction (PGI), pre- and post-flight briefings, and when required, ground-only training sessions, in accordance with Transport Canada Flight Test Guide standards.
• Maintaining accurate student training records in the Pilot Training Record (PTR), including progress notes to assist co-instructors and tracking student milestones.
• Consulting regularly with the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) regarding student progress, performance, and training concerns.
• Authorizing student solo flights (operational control) after verifying flight readiness, aircraft condition, weather suitability, and student competency.
• Auditing student PGIs, ensuring accurate page totals, signatures, and proper documentation.
• Assisting with hangar operations, including moving aircraft in and out at the start and end of the day.
• Maintaining a professional attitude and work ethic, serving as a positive role model for students and colleagues.
• Assisting with prospective student visits, explaining our flight training programs, syllabi, and aircraft fleet—acting as an ambassador for the school.
• Follow emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunction or failure
• Instruct student pilots in procedures and techniques of flying aircraft and in ground-school subjects such as navigation, radio procedures and flying regulations
• Monitor operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight
• Perform post-flight inspections
• Record equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight
• Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel
• Conduct pre-flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met
• Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions and other information
• Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and respond to and report in-flight emergencies and malfunctions
• Prepare flight evaluation reports

• Contributing to general maintenance and cleanliness of aircraft and facilities and engaging in self-study during non-instructional periods.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor or Director of Millennium Aviation.
