Meinema Custom Farming Ltd. near Lacombe, AB requires 1 full time Farm foreman/woman for a combined crop and custom farm work operation to perform the following duties:

Job Duties:
Location of work: various locations (shop location: 41117 Rge Rd 275, Lacombe, AB. T4L 2N3)
Salary: $35.00/hour
Vacancies: 1 Vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time 40-50 hours/week
Start date: As soon as possible
Employment conditions: Early morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Day, Weekend, Overtime required, Overtime available

Job requirements:
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Ability to Supervise: 1-2, 3-4 people
Work setting: Rural area
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Responsibilities
Tasks
• Organize tasks to accomplish the work
• Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Negotiate with clients for provision of services
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
• Maintain work records and logs
• Hire and train staff
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Perform general farm duties
