1. Job Description

* Plan menus, develop new recipes, and ensure all food meets quality, presentation, and safety standards.
* Prepare and cook complete meals, specialty dishes, and customized meals for guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
* Supervise, train, and lead chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
* Estimate food, supply, and labour costs, and maintain records of food costs, inventory, consumption, and sales.
* Requisition food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies, and coordinate equipment purchases, maintenance, and repairs.
* Analyze operating costs and implement measures to improve kitchen efficiency and profitability.
* Consult with clients to plan menus and food services for weddings, banquets, and other special events.
* Recruit and hire kitchen staff, assign duties, and oversee daily food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

2. Requirements

* College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
* 2 ~ 3 years work experience in the food service sector
* Strong leadership and communication skills (English proficiency)
* Flexibility, Client focus, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills

3. Job Details

* Location: 36640 Vedder Rd #100J, Chilliwack, BC V2R 0J2
* Terms of employment: Full-time/ Permanent (30 hours/w)
* Start date: ASAP
* Salary: $37.00 per hour
