Now Hiring: Cook – Key-oh Hotel Restaurant & Pub
Location: Key-oh Hotel
Department: Kitchen
Full-Time | $19.00 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you a passionate cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment? Key-oh Hotel is
seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our culinary team in delivering exceptional
food and service at our restaurant and pub. If you’re driven by quality, teamwork, and creativity,

Key Responsibilities (Include but Not Limited To):

● Prepare and cook meals for our restaurant, pub, breakfast, lunch and dinner service,
catering events, and special occasions.
● Collaborate daily with the Chef on duty to review food requirements and business
demands.
● Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
● Ensure food quality, quantity, and presentation meet company brand standards.
● Monitor and maintain all food safety standards for storage and preparation.
● Label and date all food items properly and ensure freshness is prioritized.
● Keep kitchen and storage areas clean, sanitized, and safe at all times.
● Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards.
● Participate in menu development, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
● Receive and properly store inventory, ensuring proper rotation and stock levels.
● Follow all food safety and Key-oh Hotel kitchen standards consistently.

Qualifications:
● Minimum 3 years experience in à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparation.
● Minimum 1 year experience in buffet or catering environments.
● Previous hotel kitchen experience preferred.
● Food Safe certification (preferred).
● Red Seal or Cooks Trade Qualification (preferred, or equivalent skill set).
● Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
● Supervisory experience is an asset.
● Strong organizational and communication skills.
● Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and
holidays.

Work Environment:
● Fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
● Exposure to hot equipment, humidity, cold storage, and slippery surfaces.
● Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and working in a
high-stress environment.
● Safety-conscious, with attention to injury prevention and cleanliness.
