Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with specialization in front-end systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in a workshop environment. This role involves diagnosing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing various automotive systems and components. A commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools is essential.

Responsibilities

Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
Discuss work with supervisor
Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Review work orders
Road test motor vehicles
Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
Perform scheduled maintenance service
Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Provide customer service

Qualifications: Other trades certificate or diploma or degree – Mechanical engineering/mechanical technology/technician

A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications in automotive technology are a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Additional pay: Overtime pay, Tips

Benefits: On-site parking

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed

Experience: Mechanic or Autobody repairer: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person (Edmonton-Sherwood Park boundary)
