We are looking for a skilled Cook to join our professional team and maintain our high standards of culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cook traditional Chinese stir-fry, noodles, and authentic sauces using high-heat woks.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers and prep station staff to ensure smooth service.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, specifically focusing on the wok and steamer stations.
• Maintain detailed records of Chinese spices, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize high-temperature cooking ranges and food preparation areas daily.
• Determine precise portion sizes and estimate food costs.
• Monitor and order fresh produce and meat supplies from local vendors to maintain stock levels.
• Train new kitchen assistants on traditional Chinese cutting and cooking techniques.
Requirements:
• Language: Must be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) to communicate effectively with the kitchen team and ensure authentic flavor profiles.
• Proven experience in a professional Chinese kitchen (especially wok cooking) is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict hygiene standards.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
