Island Xpressions Hair and Beauty Studio Inc is looking for two (2) Full-Time Hairstylists (NOC 63210)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 32-40 hours per week, $21.00/hour, with benefits.
Job Description:
• Color, cut and provide natural hair treatments
• Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide treatment for scalp and hair
• Clean, install and style wigs and hair pieces
• Install hair extensions such as weaves, K-tip extensions, and male units.
• Braid client’s hair: knotless braids, feed in cornrow braids, twists etc
• Suggest hairstyle compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s in-structions and preferences
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treat-ments for scalp and hair
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
• Apply hair extensions
• May shampoo and rinse hair
• May perform receptionist duties and order supplies
• May train or supervise other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices and helpers.

Job Requirements:
• Must have 1 year of experience as a hairstylist
• Familiarity in the following hairstyling techniques is an asset: braiding rope twists, plaits, feed-in cornrows, knotless braids, boho braids, crochet braids, crochet locs, hair detox, scalp health so-lutions, wig installation, chemical hair relaxing, keratin therapy, locs & natural hair styling
• Previous training in trichology is an asset
• Language in the workplace is English
