Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall care of a private residence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including:
• Sweep, mop, wash, wax, and polish floors, using appropriate techniques for different surface types, with a special focus on natural wood and stone.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpets, area rugs, drapes, and upholstered furniture, addressing stains as needed.
• Carefully clean artwork, collectibles, and other delicate items, ensuring no damage occurs.
• Maintain fine silver and crystal, keeping them free of dust, fingerprints, and smudges to ensure a pristine appearance.
• Make beds, change linens, and organize personal belongings to maintain order and tidiness.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen fixtures and appliances, and organize pantry items, ensuring the kitchen remains organized and sanitary.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs, and replenish towels, toiletries, and other amenities to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Empty trash containers and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Sort, launder, and process linens and towels, ensuring cleanliness and presentation.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings as needed.
• Monitor stocking levels of consumables in linen closets and supply areas, replacing items as necessary.
• Report damages, breakages, or safety issues promptly for repairs.

Requirements & Skills:
• Proven experience as a Light Duty Cleaner or Housekeeper, ideally in a private residence or luxury hotel environment.
• Experience caring for fine linens, silver, antiques, and delicate fabrics (including couture garments) is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail.
• Professional, mature, and friendly demeanor, with the ability to accept feedback and improve performance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently without compromising quality.
• Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
