Job Description

Job Duties:
Purchase merchandise for resale from suppliers;
Select the merchandise which best fits the store’s requirements;
Establish and maintain contact with suppliers;
According to inventory and sales record, make purchase plan;
Negotiate price, discounts, credit terms with suppliers;
Review requirements of store and determine quantity and types of merchandises to purchase.

Requirements:
Completion of 1-2 years college diploma is required.
Previous work experience of 2-3 years in garment purchasing is required.
A diploma in business, marketing or fashion and textile program is an asset.
Sufficient sources of suppliers is an asset

Required languages: English

Education level: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years (or equivalent experience)
