Job Description

Both my wife, Shelina and I Hassnain work full time and are actively looking to hire 1 In-Home Childcare Provider (Live-Out position) for a permanent, full-time position to work in our home located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, who can assist us with taking care of our 3 children that are 3, 7 & 10 years old.

The salary will be $20.00 per hour, 5 days a week, 6 hours per day, Monday – Friday. When needed, the overtime salary will be $30.00 per hour after 44 hours per week.

The In-Home Childcare Provider shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:

• Tend to the emotional well-being of our children
• Supervise and care for our children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for our children
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Take our children to and from school and to appointments when necessary
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare our children for rest periods
• Bathe, dress and feed our children
• Discipline our children according to the methods requested by us, the parents
• Assume full responsibility of household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties for our children
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Skills and Education Required:

• Minimum 1 Year paid full-time work experience as a caregiver within the last 3 years
• Must have good and verifiable references for childcare
• Completion of High School, minimum 12 years of total education or equivalent
• First Aid Certificate is considered an asset
• CPR Certificate is considered an asset
• Must be able to provide a recent police clearance certificate
• A 6-month in-class caregiver training course is considered an asset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English
