Junior Engineer (New Grad) – Various Roles
Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a well-established, privately-owned engineering firm providing EPCM services to the energy industry, including project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction management and regulatory services.
We are currently accepting applications for multiple Junior Engineer / New Grad positions to join our Mechanical, Process, Electrical, and Facilities/Project Management teams. These roles offer an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain hands-on experience working on challenging and innovative projects across natural gas, oil, fractionation, carbon capture and sequestration, hydrogen generation, power generation, and transmission.
As a Junior Engineer at GLE, you will work closely with experienced engineers, designers, and project managers, supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions while developing your technical and professional skills. Work closely with the project lead, designers and other engineers on the creation of project deliverables, coordination of drawings and overall project support.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary by discipline but typically include but are not limited to:
• Working closely with project leads, designers, and engineers to support project execution and deliverables.
• Assisting with engineering design, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Coordinating drawings and supporting interdisciplinary reviews.
• Ensuring designs meet client requirements, applicable codes, and GLE standards.
• Supporting projects of varying size and complexity while meeting schedule and budget expectations.
• Contributing to continuous improvement through the development and review of standards, templates, and tools.
• Providing efficient, technically sound support that delivers value to our clients.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain P. Eng. in the future with a Canadian engineering regulator, e.g., APEGA, EGBC, APEGS, or EGMB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Occasional travel to facilities may be required.
Assets (but not required):
• Co-op, internship, or internal student experience in an engineering environment.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering software (discipline dependent).
• Exposure to EPC, EPCM, or energy-related projects.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
