For The Kids Daycare Kelowna is looking for two (2) Full-Time Early Childhood Educator Assistants (NOC 42202)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $20.00/hour, with bene-fits.
Job Description:
• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cogni-tive, emotional and social development of children.
• Assist with program planning, managing the flow of the day, meals, outside time, activities, & quiet time, as well as bathroom, potty training and diapers.
• Engage children in activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
• Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping duties
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• Other daily duties include light cleaning, dishes, floors, and cleaning bathrooms.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum post-secondary program/certificate in early childhood education, child development, or related
• Must have 1 year of experience in childcare
• British Columbia Early Childhood Educator Assistant Licence
• Language in the workplace is English
