Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Home Care Worker to provide personalized in-home care and support to clients living with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will assist clients in maintaining a safe, healthy, and independent lifestyle within their own homes.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
Assist with mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
Support daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders.
Assist clients with exercises and rehabilitation routines as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Accompany clients to medical appointments and community activities as needed.
Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical or mental health to the appropriate medical or supervisory personnel.
Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for the client and their family.
Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate records of services provided.
Adhere to infection control and occupational health and safety practices.
Qualifications:
Completion of high school is required.
Postsecondary education in health care assistance, disability support, or a related field is an asset.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client location and mobility needs.
Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
Minimum 3 years of experience in home care or disability support services preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks and support mobility-impaired individuals.
