Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Child Care Provider to care for our children in a safe and nurturing home environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being, development, and safety of the children while providing a supportive and structured atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and care for children in employer’s or own residence
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
Prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Instruct children in personal hygiene
Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take children to and from school and appointments

Education/Qualifications:

Completion of secondary school
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
At least 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field
Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
Ability to communicate in English
Demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities with minimal supervision

Assets:

Early Childhood Education (ECE) training or related courses
Valid driver’s license (if transportation of children is required)
Experience with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children

Required languages: English

Education level: • Completion of secondary School - Certification in First Aid and CPR is Required - At least 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field. - Clear criminal record check, vulnerable sector screening and child welfare check. - Demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities with minimal supervision
