Job responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and manage a variety of accounts using both manual methods and computerized bookkeeping systems tailored to Diamond Insurance Group Inc.’s operational needs.
• Record daily financial transactions, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Prepare trial balances, maintain general ledger accounts, and compile financial statements in accordance with company reporting schedules.
• Calculate and issue payroll cheques, as well as payments for utilities, taxes, insurance premiums, and other operational expenses.
• Complete and file required government documentation, including tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation filings, pension contributions, and other regulatory reports.
• Prepare and file personal and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission in line with current tax regulations.
• Generate detailed financial, accounting, and statistical reports to support management decision-making and financial planning.
• Monitor daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Employment Requirements
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills required.
• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• 7 months to 1 year of experience is required.
• Professional, reliable, and well organized
• Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Highly effective client services and organizational skills
• Ability to handle a very busy, fast-paced office setting.
• Team player and highly adaptive to work in culturally diverse environment.
Start date: ASAP.
Work hours: Minimum 35 to 40 hours per week.
