Dave Van Pelt Farms Inc., located at SW 8-10-19-W4, Lethbridge County, AB T1M 1M2 and various locations in Lethbridge County, is seeking two (2) Farm Supervisors. English speaking workplace. Rural Area.

Wage: $25.00/hour for 40-60 hours per week
Benefits: Health/dental, short, long term and life insurance (split 50/50 between employee and employer) after three months.
Experience: 3 + years.
Education: Basic

Duties: Work closely with management to ensure organizational goals are met/develop specific plans to prioritize. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures and ensure they are being followed. Supervise and direct farm workers in daily agriculture (cattle and crops) activities. Assign tasks and monitor farm workers performance and productivity. Manage farm equipment maintenance and repair schedules. Train farm workers. Oversee livestock health and welfare programs. Ensure that farm infrastructure, buildings and equipment are properly maintained and operational. Monitor quality control and maintain detailed production, and operational records. Monitor cattle for injury and illness and treat as necessary. Work with veterinarians when required. Running irrigation when required. General farm duties as required.

Weekend work is required, including Sundays (Scheduled). MUST be able to work in ALL weather conditions. (EG – Cattle need to be fed and cared for when its -40 and during a snowstorm. )
