Rio Brazilian Steakhouse is looking for an experienced Cook to join our team.

Job Title: Cook (Permanent)
Employer: Rio Brazilian Steakhouse LTD
Working Location: 2729 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam, BC, V3E 1K9
Working Hours: 30-40 hrs/wk (Full-time)
Wage: $25.00 to $37.00 / hour (To be negotiated)
(Overtime pay will be paid at 1.5 times your regular wage for the time over 8hrs/day and over 40
hrs/wk.)
Benefits: 4% vacation fee or 10 days paid vacation

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Develop menus and calculate food quantities required for meal preparation
-Cook full meals or specific dishes according to recipes and standards
-Prepare meals tailored to individuals with food allergies or dietary restrictions
-Instruct kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling practices
-Order necessary ingredients, supplies, and kitchen equipment
-Oversee and coordinate the work of kitchen staff and assistants
-Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment
-Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of kitchen personnel
-Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen to ensure efficiency and quality control

Qualification:
– Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience required.
– Several years of experience in commercial food preparation required.
