This role contributes directly to production targets while maintaining quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

Required languages: English

Education level: Grade 12 or equivalent

Required skills: We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our production team in our fish processing plant. In this role, you will be responsible for performing hands-on tasks on the production line, including weighing, packing, and labeling fish products. You will inspect products to ensure they meet quality, size, and regulatory standards, and operate basic processing equipment as needed. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment is essential, and you will follow all health, safety, and food safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You will work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and assist with other duties as required. The work environment involves exposure to cold, wet, hot, and damp conditions, and tasks are repetitive and performed on a fast-paced production line. Shift work may be required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime, depending on production needs. The position involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive hand and arm movements, and requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Additional skills / Assets: No formal education is required for this role. Previous experience in food processing or a manufacturing environment is considered an asset, but is not required, as on-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate is able to follow instructions, policies, and safety procedures, and is reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with others are essential.
