Position: Meat Cutter
Number of Positions: 1
Duration: Full time Permanent
Experience requirement: minimum 1 year experience preferred as meat cutter
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $16.85/hour, 35 to 40 hours/week.

Job Duties:

• Use various tools such as knives, saw, grinders and slicers to prepare meats.
• Break down large cuts of meats in to smaller portions for retail sales. This include cutting, trimming and boning meat from Beef, pork, poultry.
• Cut and prepare fish and seafood for retail sales.
• After cutting, weight, wrap, package and label meat portions for customers and retail sales.
• Interact with customers to provide requested cuts and answer questions about various meats.
• Clean and sanitize work stations, machinery, knives, saw and grinders to meet food safety and hygiene standards.
• Prepare specialty products such as sausages, marinated cuts for customers and as per business needs.
• Assist in inventory control, including ordering supplies, track stock level and ensuring fresh products are available for customers.
• Ensure all meat handling meets hygiene and safety standards set by local, provincial and federal health authorities to prevent contamination and ensure safe food handling.
• Ensure food storage conditions are adequate and at proper refrigeration.
