Salary: $62.50 – $70.00 per hour dependant on experience
Vacancies: 1 Vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time 40 hours/week

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, approved ABVMA License

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience.

Transportation/Travel Information: Must have their own reliable vehicle and means of transportation.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, bending or twisting of the body. Bending, crouching and kneeling. Working under pressure. Attention to detail.

Work Site Environment: Veterinary clinic

Required skills: • Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in animals, herds, flocks. • Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery. • Perform physical examinations or laboratory tests for individual animals. • Vaccinate animals, as required. • Perform routine and/or emergency and post-mortem examinations • Provide a range of other veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia. • Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals.

Additional skills / Assets: Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, and general care of animals. May supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.
