Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Salon Manager & Senior Hairstylist to support the day-to-day operations of our salon while continuing to work behind the chair. This role is ideal for a strong technical stylist who enjoys leadership, mentorship, and operational excellence, and who takes pride in creating an exceptional experience for both clients and team members.
The Salon Manager plays a key role in upholding service standards, supporting staff development, maintaining operational systems, and ensuring the salon runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Team Training
Provide ongoing technical guidance and support to stylists and associates
Assist with onboarding, skill development, and continued education initiatives
Reinforce service standards, consultation quality, and technical consistency
Act as a resource for troubleshooting technical or service-related challenges
Client Experience & Customer Satisfaction
Ensure a consistently high-quality client experience from booking to checkout
Address client concerns, feedback, and service recovery with professionalism and care
Support front-of-house flow, scheduling efficiency, and service timing
Uphold the salon’s brand values, culture, and service philosophy
Inventory, Budgets & Product Management
Manage inventory levels and budgets for colour retail and professional backbar products
Place and track orders, receive shipments, and maintain organized storage systems
Monitor product usage, minimize waste, and support retail performance
Ensure tools, supplies, and workstations are consistently stocked and functional
Administrative & Organizational Duties
Support scheduling, systems management, and daily operational organization
Maintain clean, orderly, and efficient shared spaces
Assist with internal documentation, procedures, and operational improvements
Collaborate with ownership on salon needs, priorities, and workflow optimization
Lead 2 marketing campaigns a year, managing budget for each
Refine & implement policies and procedures with the salon team
Client Services (Behind-the-Chair Work)
Maintain an active clientele as a working hairstylist
Deliver high-quality services aligned with salon standards and education
Balance service hours with leadership and management responsibilities
Qualifications & Experience
Licensed hairstylist with solid technical experience
Minimum 3 years experience in salon management
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead with confidence, empathy, and accountability
Comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with client services
Aligned with a culture of professionalism, growth, and teamwork
Completion of secondary school
