Salary: $19.11 hourly / 40-50 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work site environment: Hog and pig farming, Hog management, Hot, Noisy, Odours
Work setting: Rural area
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Area of specialization: Swine, Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Large workload

Job Duties
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
• Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration
• Handling animals
• Marking livestock as proof of ownership
• Monitoring animal health, Treat livestock health issues
• Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs
• Formulate feeding program
• Maintain quality control and production records, Maintain livestock performance records
• Select livestock for sale
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment ie Automated manure handling or storage system, Feeding and watering system
• Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Perform general farm duties
