Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Home Care
Worker to provide personalized in-home care and support to clients living
with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The successful candidate
will assist clients in maintaining a safe, healthy, and independent lifestyle
within our home.
Responsibilities:
– Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and
oral hygiene.
-Assist with mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
-Support daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding,
housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders.
-Assist clients with exercises and rehabilitation routines as prescribed by
healthcare professionals.
-Accompany clients to medical appointments and community activities as
needed.
-Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical or mental health to the
appropriate medical or supervisory personnel.
-Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for the client and their
family.
-Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate records of services
provided.
-Adhere to infection control and occupational health and safety practices.
Qualifications:
-Completion of high school is required.
-Postsecondary education in health care assistance, disability support, or a
related field is an asset.
-Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
-A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client location and
mobility needs.
-Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in home care or disability support services
preferred.
