Job Description
Greeting and assisting late-night guests with check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.
To have a complete working knowledge of all Front Office Systems as per company policy, as well as the Opera and Micros systems
Balancing and auditing daily financial transactions, including cash, credit card, and room charges.
To ensure that all FO staff are briefed on specific daily functions and events, in order to deal efficiently and effectively with guest enquiries.
To be able to carry out effectively, quickly and courteously the tasks of all departmental staff as specified in the SOP Manual
To be able to delegate to staff the allocation of specific tasks and break times to ensure that operational cover is utilised to the best advantage
Preparing and distributing daily financial reports for management.
Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of reservations and room inventory
Ensuring a smooth handover of information to the morning team.
To accept responsibility for action taken by all staff who are under your supervision
To monitor all High Balance accounts and PM accounts to ensure that there are no outstanding balances in the system.
To ensure that there are enough supplies in the department.
To ensure all credit and high balance checks are followed up each day liaising with the Duty Manager
To be fully aware of all room rates, availability, promotions, services and facilities
To ensure that an accurate room count is maintained and that all staff are fully aware of the Hotel’s selling status in order to maximise occupancy levels, average room rates and other revenues
Guests profile update and proper-up keeping
To liaise with Guest Relations and Reservations to ensure that all allocations of rooms and VIP rooms are carried out and all relevant departments are informed
To ensure that all guests receive a friendly, efficient and prompt service and to make sure that guests are never ignored in preference to administrative tasks
To assist the Guest Service Manager in any tasks outlined/detailed by her
To upsell at every opportunity to maximise revenue and encourage product selling
To keep the Front Desk and Back of House tidy at all times
Ensure all VIP’s and all other guests are looked after
To deal with guest complaints properly and pleasantly and refer to HOD or management as necessary.
To liaise with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure an efficient provision of ready rooms
To generally promote and ensure good inter-departmental relationships
To ensure that telephones are answered quickly and efficiently, following company directives.
To communicate daily with regards to house events and functions.

Education level: High school diploma
Required skills: 2-3 years of experience
