Tasks
• Interpret welding process specifications
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
• Determine weldability of materials
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
Type of materials: Aluminum alloys, Stainless steel, Steel, iron and heavy metals
Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Gas metal arc welding, (GMAW), Multipass, Brazing and soldering
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Machinery or equipment repair
Security and safety: Drug test
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation, public transportation is not available
