Job Description

– Assist in washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits. Prepare basic components of dishes, such as sauces, dressings, and marinades.
– Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils.
– Empty trash bins regularly.
– Maintain cleanliness in food storage areas.
– Unpack and organize deliveries of food and supplies.
– Monitor and restock kitchen inventory as needed.
– Keep track of expiration dates on perishable items.
– Support chefs and cooks in the preparation of meals.
– Follow recipes and instructions for various dishes.
– Handle basic cooking tasks, such as boiling or frying items under supervision.
– Assist in setting up the kitchen before service.
– Help in the arrangement and organization of ingredients and tools.
– Clean and organize the kitchen at the end of the shift. Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure proper cleaning of dishes.
– Hand wash items that require special care.
– Dry and store dishes appropriately.
– Ensure that plates are clean and free of smudges before serving.
– Adhere to safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen. Collaborate with cooks, chefs, and other kitchen team members.
– Be flexible and willing to take on various tasks as needed. Handle unexpected situations and changes in the kitchen routine.
