Job Description
• Prepare, cut, trim and portion beef, pork, lamb and poultry for retail sale
• Process whole cuts of meat into standard retail portions
• Remove bones and excess fat using manual cutting tools and power equipment
• Grind meats and prepare fresh meat products
• Weigh, label and package meat products for display and sale
• Ensure proper storage, rotation and handling of fresh and frozen meats
• Provide customer service and assist customers in selecting appropriate meat cuts
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and report inventory shortages
