Shingler (NOC 73110)
Job Description and Qualifications:
Castone Construction Ltd. is growing, and we are looking to add skilled shinglers to our team. We are seeking individuals to install and replace shingles, tiles, and similar coverings on sloped roofs at various construction sites across Nova Scotia. Experience is an asset but not required—on-the-job training will be provided.
Job Duties:
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
• Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.
• Ensure proper handling and installation of roofing materials.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
• Assist with other roofing-related tasks as directed.
Skills and Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Physical strength and good balance.
• Ability to work at heights for extended periods.
• WHMIS, OHS, and First Aid certifications will be required (on-the-job training provided).
Language of Work: English
Wage: $ 27.00/hour
Hours: Minimum 30 hours a week
