Job Description

McBride AG Foods is located at 410 Main St, McBride, BC V0J 2E0. We are currently looking for a full time Butcher-retail. If you are interested, please submit your resume by mail or e-mail.

Position: Butcher-retail
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: CAD$23.00/hour
Working Hours: 30- 40hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Cut, trim, bone meats to prepare custom and/or standard cuts of meat;
• Prepare meat for special displays and orders;
• Wrap and package prepared meats;
• Keep sales records and monitor supply to maintain inventory;
• Ensure meats are clean and stored in safe conditions;
• Follow Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and food safety standards and maintain workplace in sanitary conditions;
• Supervise and train meat cutters.

Job requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• 1-2 years of on-the-job training in food stores
• (Completion of a college or other butchery training program an asset)
