Job Description

A Permanent Full-Time position for a Home Support Worker is in need in Calgary, Alberta.

Duties include:
• Provide care and companionship for individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption
• Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
• Assist in feeding clients
• Assist in regular exercise e.g. walking
• May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.

Wages and Benefits: Wages of $20.85 per hour, for 32-40 hours per week.

Work Experience: Must have at least 1 year of elderly care experience. Must have a strong command in English language both written and oral communication.

Education: Some Secondary School Education is usually required. College or other courses in home support may be required. Completion of a training program in care of the elderly or in a related field may be required. First Aid Certification is required
