Job Description

A Permanent Full-Time position for a Home Child Caregiver is in need in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Duties include:
• Supervise and care for children in employer’s or own residence
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
• Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct children in personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.

Work Condition and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks and attention to detail

Wages and Benefits: Wages of $20.00 per hour, for 32-40 hours per week.

Work Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience in Child Care with Autism. Must have a strong command in English language both written and oral communication.

Education: Completion of high school education is required, and First Aid Certification is required
