Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and nurturing Home Child Care Provider to care for a school-aged child in a safe and supportive home environment in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Language Requirement
• English
Education
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
• 1 year to less than 2 years of child care experience
Work Setting
• Employer’s private residence
• Optional live-in accommodation available at no charge (not a condition of employment)
Responsibilities
• Supervise and care for the child.
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
• Bathe, dress and feed the child.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for the child and may perform other housekeeping activities.
• Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child.
• Travel with family on trips and assist with the child supervision.
• Tend to the emotional well-being of the child.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
