We are now open to hiring a Truck mechanic to join our team.

Position Responsibilities & Duties

– Regularly perform a preventive inspection of trucks;

– Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab,

body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems;

– Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems;

– Perform transmission and clutch repairs of trucks;

– Perform scheduled maintenance services: oil change, filter change, lubrications and tune-ups;

– Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axels and brake systems;

– Repair and replace mechanical and electrical units and parts using hand and power tools;

– Regularly perform radiator testing and repair of trucks;

– Regularly complete the driver’s report;

– Fill in the work orders in the computer system;

– Maintain a safe work environment;

– Maintain records of daily checklist (pre-trip inspections);

– Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $34.50 per hour

The shift is Monday – Friday; 08:30 am to 4:30 pm

Schedule: Monday to Friday between 08:00 am to 4:30 pm, 40 hours per week, hour lunch breaks included

Education level: Completion of Secondary education and automotive service technician program at college or vocational institution

Required skills: – Trade certificate for truck and transport mechanics – Fluency in English and French – A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic, service technician of trucks – Strong technical skills, and 5+ years’ experience working with maintenance and inspection of trucks and/or automotive vehicles – In-depth knowledge of all aspects of mechanical and electrical systems, diesel and unleaded fuel engines, fuel and hydraulic systems – Strong communication skills
