Job Description

Jie Energy Decoration is an engineering company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, providing solar panel installation, renovation design, and construction services. We offer the full time and permanent opportunity to work in an engaging team environment as an Office Manager. This role will oversee the business operations and any events or activities of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee daily business operations, and ensure office efficiency through a range of administrative, financial, and managerial tasks
• Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures
• Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on work results
• Establish work priorities and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing budgets, and scheduling expenditures
• Keep the owner informed by reviewing and analyzing reports, and summarizing information
• Responsible for recruiting staff and providing orientation and training to new employees
• Maintain office files and records, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly managed
• Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events and activities
• Other duties may be assigned as needed by the owner

Professional Qualifications:
Education:
• Completion of college or university program is required, major in business or administration is an asset
Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience
Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Benefits:
• Competitive wages with starting wage from $27.00 per hour
• 1.5 times regular wage for each hour worked after 48 hours in a week
• 2 weeks paid vacation each year
• Paid statutory holiday in accordance with Nova Scotia Employment Standards
