Job Description

Estimates, negotiates, plans, supervises, and ensures the delivery of contracted client projects within agreed upon budgets and schedules.

Education level: High School

Required skills: Related post-secondary training, and/or a minimum of 8 years professional experience in the field of theatre, event, and entertainment production; Knowledge of production, safety and employment standards, best practices in the arts and entertainment industry, and procedures relating to those standards and practices; Demonstrable success at project delivery in both short-term and long-term integrated projects; Competent with project management components such as planning, budget and timeline management, scope management, risk management, timely decision making; Ability to lead and work effectively in a collaborative environment; Effective facilitator with strong interpersonal, decision-making, and organizational skills; Must be able to perform well under pressure and adapt to a fast-changing environment; Good working knowledge of CAD software such as Vectorworks or Rhino, Adobe Suite, Google Workplace, email communication, and database software; Knowledge of building materials and material procurement is an asset; Professional experience as a Technical Director, Production Manager, Scenic Designer, Scenic Painter or Scenic/Construction Carpenter, or Stage Manager is an asset
