Job Title: Lead Guide
Wage: $29-30/hour

Terms of Employment: Full-time, May to September (40 hours peer week)

Job Duties:
Preparing multi day summer kids mountain bike camps including guiding/coaching young children and effectively managing a team of other guides
Organization of multi day tours, including communication with clients before and after their visit
Instructing lessons and guiding tours in both private and group settings
Driving/transporting clients to and from tours/lessons/shuttle drops
Maintaining mountain bike rental fleet, carrying out repairs when necessary
Occasionally managing shop, setting up walk in rentals and tours, responding to in person inquiries and upkeep of shop and vehicles
General communication with clients over the phone and emails, promoting and selecting the right Wandering Wheels products for their needs
General administrative tasks to support smooth operations of the business
Employment Requirements/work experience:
PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association) Level 2
80 Hour Wilderness First Responder certification
Minimum 3 seasons of mountain bike guiding or instructing
Very strong riding skills with a high degree of fitness
Experience with planning and managing events/programs
Experience working with helicopters
Experience working with children
Extensive knowledge of all mountain bike trails and access routes in and around Revelstoke
Strong communication and service skills
Experience maintaining/repairing and strong knowledge of mountain bikes
Ability to work long days in a variety of weather conditions
Valid BC class 4 drivers license (or ability to get it)
Additional Requirements:
Guiding/Instructing experience in other sports a strong asset
Experience with Rezdy booking software a strong asset
Previous practical first aid and risk management experience
Successful candidates will be required to submit a criminal record check and B.C. Drivers Abstract
