New Beginnings Early Years Learning Center is looking for two (2) Full-Time Early Childhood Educator Assistant ECEA (NOC 42202)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 to 40 hours per week, $20.00/hour, with benefits.
Job Description:
• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Encourage and facilitate children to engage in activities, problem solve, build friendships and take healthy risks.
• Arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping
• Maintain safety logs as per Childcare Licensing
• Attend staff meetings to discuss Programming, Policies, Procedures, and for training
• Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
Job Requirements:
• Must have a valid BC ECE Assistant certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare.
• Must have a current First Aid Certificate
• Language in the workplace is English
