ROAD TRAIN EXPRESS INC. is looking for the 2 positions of Truck Mechanic for their location at 85 Heart Lake Road S, Brampton, ON L6W 3K1
Job Title: Mechanic, Truck
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full-Time Position
Salary: $34.25 per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
Job duties:
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries, engine, and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running
• Inspect various parts or components of commercial truck-trailer systems including braking systems, wheel bearings, chassis, frame, cab, body, and steering mechanism to ensure they are in proper condition to operate effectively
• Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, hoists, and jacks to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions
• Measure truck emissions to ensure they are within proper limits
• Replace parts, bearings, and gears along with the repair of vehicle cooling and heating systems

Education: College/ CEGEP
Experience: 1 Year to less than 2 Years
Driver’s License required
