Central Veterinary Clinic requires two (2) full-time Veterinarians in Ponoka, Alberta.

Salary: $70.00/hr

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, approved ABVMA License

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience.

Transportation/Travel Information: Must have their own reliable vehicle and means of transportation.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, bending or twisting of the body.

Work Site Environment: Indoor clinic environment.

Required languages: English

Education level: Degree in veterinary medicine

Required skills: Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in animals, herds, flocks. Treat sick or injured animals. Perform physical examinations or laboratory tests for individual animals. Prescribe medication to animals, set bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery on animals. Vaccinate animals, as required. Perform routine and/or emergency examinations on specific animals. Provide a range of other veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia.

Additional skills / Assets: Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, and general care of animals. May supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.
