B A Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. located at 15033 – 76 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3S 2H4 is looking for 2 Sheet Metal Fabricators (NOC 72102) to join them ASAP.
Job Details:
Salary: $31.50 to $37.50 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Term of employment 30-35 hrs./Week
Language: English
Job Location: Various Locations in the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley
Experience would be an asset but training is provided.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast paced environment, tight deadlines,
Repetitive tasks and physically demanding
Work Site Environment: Dusty

Job Requirements:
• Minimum high school completion.
• Minimum 1 – 2 years of metal fabricator experience.
• Previous work experience in residential and / or light commercial projects would be an asset.
• Having a Valid driver’s license would be an asset.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to size duct jobs.
• Ability to adapt to changing work schedules.
• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
• Must be a good team-player.
• Ability to work under pressure and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical work (bending, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders/stairs, loading/unloading) parts up to 50pounds in weight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Layout and fabrication of sheet metal fitting required for field installations.
• Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
• Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
• Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
• Fabricating and constructing metal components.
• Grinding and finishing completed products.
• Performing quality checks on completed products.
• Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
• Completing job reports.
• Install and retrofit commercial and residential units and ductwork as needed
• Keep track of material before, during, and after jobs to minimize loss or theft.
• Able to follow directions, have a positive attitude, personal hand tools.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Follow company procedures and protocols.
• Follow all Safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
• Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
• Must be willing to work occasional overtime, evenings and weekends.
• Showing up on time and ready to work every day is a must.
• Keep your assigned company vehicle stocked & tidy at all times.
